Tuesday, June 5: Opening Reception, 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Wednesday June 6: The Women’s Researchers Networking Event, 6:30-8:30 pm. It will begin with a reception catering graciously sponsored by Springer, followed by an introduction of the FRC, and a welcoming message by an USNCTAM leadership followed by open discussions.
Thursday, June 7: A Career Development Workshop for Ph.D. Students and Postdocs, 4:30 – 6:00 pm.
This workshop aims to offer a forum to provide senior Ph.D. students and postdocs with information on various topics of academic/industrial career development, including but not limited to resume preparation, decoration of cover letter, tips in phone interview, how to prepare onsite talk, how to negotiate offer, how to set up your new lab or start your new position in a startup, and etc. Many senior people from a range of diverse sectors will serve as panelists to share their valuable experiences and talk about their perspectives. By attending this workshop, you will have opportunities to interact directly with our panelists, and learn what employers expect from you at a career fair, how to engage employers to have the best chance of moving forward in the interview process, and so on.
