Call for abstract from WCCM 2024 Minisymposium on “Computational mechanics in Canada and China: Current states of shared scientific interests and opportunities for the future cooperation”

WCCM 2024 Minisymposium on “Computational mechanics in Canada and China: Current states of shared scientific interests and opportunities for the future cooperation” will be held in Vancouver, Canada, from July 21 to 26, 2024. The Symposium is organized by Beijing International Center for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (BICTAM) and is one of the Minisymposia of the 16th World Congress on Computational Mechanics (WCCM2024) and 4th Pan American Congress on Computational Mechanics (PANACM2024).

The goal of this symposium is to bring scientists from Canada and China together for the future cooperation. Authors and presenters are invited to participate in our symposium to expand international cooperation, understanding and promotion of efforts and disciplines in the area of the joint Canada-China sessions on computational mechanics. All the participants are warmly welcomed.

Abstract Submission

  • Please select minisymposium“2001 – Computational mechanics in Canada and China: Current states of shared scientific interests and opportunities for the future cooperation”.
  • Your abstract is for an oral presentation that, if accepted, will be allocated 20 minutes (Q&A included).
  • Each paid registrant at WCCM 2024 will be limited to one presentation.
  • Participants may be an author of multiple abstracts, but can be the presenting author of only one abstract.
  • Abstracts are limited to 400 words.
  • Your abstract must contain a summary of your presentation and describe the principal contributions to the field.
  • Up to three references may be included in the abstract and will be counted toward the 400 words.
  • Figures are not allowed.
  • When entering the title, use the ‘”sentence” case (capitalize only the first letter of the first word).
  • Be sure to enter all the authors with their affiliations and email addresses.
  • Limit the affiliation for each author to the name of institution, company, or university only. Do not provide address or department name.
