On 16 May 2026, the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, together with the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (CSTAM), successfully held its 22nd Public Science Day with the theme “Everything Has a Force”. The event opened the institute’s doors to the public, sparking scientific curiosity and a desire to explore — especially among young people. Over 7,000 people attended in person, while online live streams reached more than 2.6 million views.
