On 27-29 March 2026, the Workshop for Journal Editors-in-Chief in conjunction with Multidisciplinary Symposium was held in Ningde, Fujian Province. Organised by the Office of the China Excellence Action Plan for Science, Technology and Medicine (STM) Journals and hosted by CSTAM, the workshop brought together editors of leading mechanics journals, including Acta Mechanica Sinica , Composites Communications, Journal of Magnesium and Alloys , Engineering Mechanics, Nature Materials, and International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing. Discussions focused on building world-class journals, enhancing academic leadership, and addressing challenges such as AI's impact on publishing and ethical standards.
