CSTAM 135th Youth Academic Salon took place on 24 January 2026 at Beijing Institute of Technology, just before the Spring Festival holiday. Over 100 young researchers from 47 institutions attended eight invited lectures covering mechanics education, turbulence computing, 3D micro-nano assembly, flexible aircraft flutter, bioinspired porous materials, etc. The salon also featured a special session for doctoral candidates supported by the CAST Young Elite Program.

The 136th Youth Academic Salon was held on 18 April 2026 at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen. Nearly 100 participants gathered to hear presentations on composite structure failure, novel materials mechanics, space environment effects on composites, multi-stable systems, high-temperature non-equilibrium flows, and advanced fibre-reinforced composites. The salon was co-organised by SUSTech’s Department of Automation and Manufacturing and the Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Continuous Carbon Fibre Composite Manufacturing.
