On 10 April 2026, Professor Roberto Verzicco, President of the European Mechanics Society (Euromech) and Professor at Gran Sasso Science Institute, Italy, delivered the 14th BICTAM Master Lecture entitled“From Raw Medical Imaging to Virtual Clinical Trials: An Automated Framework for the Human Heart”to over 4,500 online attendees. CSTAM President Professor He Guowei presided over the lecture.

Professor He warmly welcomed the audience and highlighted the BICTAM lecture series’role in fostering international exchange in mechanics. Professor Verzicco introduced an automated framework capable of producing datasets of diagnostic quantities for human hearts starting from their raw medical images. A lively question-and-answer session followed, concluding with Professor He presenting an honorary certificate to Professor Verzicco.
