Acta Mechanica Sinica (AMS), a leading peer-reviewed journal in mechanics research and flagship journal of CSTAM, celebrated its 40th anniversary with a symposium in Changsha on 20 July 2025. 

The event brought together past and present editors-in-chief, editorial board members, authors, and scholars to celebrate four decades of contributions, honor outstanding authors, and discuss the journal's future directions.
