Three distinguished scientists from the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (CSTAM) were honored with awards of the 31st International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences (ICCES2025).
Prof. Huang Yonggang, Co-Editor-in-Chief of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics Letters and Professor at Northwestern University, USA, was honored with the Satya N. Atluri Medal in recognition of his ground-breaking work on tretchable inorganic electronics.
Prof. Leng Jinsong, Vice President of CSTAM and Professor at Harbin Institute of Technology, China, was honored with the ICCES Eric Reissner Award for his seminal contributions to the development of smart materials and structures, particularly 4D printing of shape memory polymers, enabling the next-generation of active shape-changing structures for aerospace and biomedical applications.
Prof. Zhou Youhe, Vice President of CSTAM and Professor at Lanzhou University, China, was honored with the T.H.H. Pian Medal for his pioneering contributions to the establishment of multi-field coupling mechanics of superconductors and magnets, as well as a closed wavelet numerical method for solving nonlinear problems.
The award were presented at the ICCES2025 ceremony held in Changsha on May 27, 2025.
